Consuming the daily recommendation of fruits and vegetables can be a challenge, so what I like to do is blend a couple of servings of each into a smoothie to ensure I meet my body’s daily nutritional needs. You must admit there’s nothing better tan starting your day off with a bang with these fruit-packed smoothie recipes. But don’t forget you can consume a smoothie at any meal, not just breakfast. No time for lunch? Grab or make a quick smoothie!

You’ve probably tried a starwberry/blueberry smoothie before, but have you ever had a beet smoothie? Beets contain valuable nutrients that may help lower your blood pressure, fight cancer and inflammation and even support detoxification. If you want to start adding vegetables into your smoothies but you aren’t ready to dive head first into green smoothie territory, then this is a great one to try.

Ingredients ( 2 servings)

  • 1 cup plant milk of choice or water (I use almond milk)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 small beet, washed, peeled, and cut into sixths
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

To make this smoothie you just need to blend all the ingredients for 2-3 minutes until smooth. Once it looks smooth enough for you, just pour the mixture into a glass and you’re done!

TipIf you don’t have a high-powered blender, I recommend grating the beet before blending. Also, if you have a “pulse mode” on your blender, I recommend using that to get it started.

This green smothie is one of my favourite ones as it includes a super-healthy ingredient: spinach. Low in fat and even lower in cholesterol, spinach is a vegetable packed with nutrients. I was going to write some of them but this green superfood has so many healthy attributes, it’s hard to list them all!

These ingredients are enough for two servings:

  • 1 1/2 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 banana
  • Juice of 1 lemon

I feel that I don’t even need to say how to prepare this smoothie as it’s incredibly easy  but… Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth. Then, pour into 2 glasses and you’re done!

This smoothie is the easiest one to do as it only has five ingredients in it! The main one is peaches, which are juicy and versatile summer fruits with endless health benefits. It also has banana in it, that as you might already know is rich in fiber and antioxidants. But what makes this smoothie special is that includes carrots. You put carrots on your salads—but in your smoothies? If you haven’t tried it yet, you should: Carrots are filled with fiber and vitamin A, and the may even help prevent against sun damage.

  • 2 cups of peach
  • 1 cup baby carrots
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup coconut water or water

Tip: If your peaches aren’t very sweet, you can also add 1 tbsp of honey

This smoothie is so incredibly easy to make, you just need to combine all ingredients together and blend them until smooth for about 30 seconds and you’re done!

Tip: If you prefer you can strain the smoothie to make it even smoother.
