COLOR DRAMA!

Today’s post is all about the Color Drama by Color Show products! I usually review liquid lipsticks or lip creams but when I saw these at my local drugstore I had to give them a go.

I got two pencils in the shades 630 Nude Perfection and 140 Minimalist. The first one is a lovely orange-nude shade. No glitter, no shimmer, just creamy goodness. Minimalist  is a very nice sweet pink color with pearl shine. So yes,  it’s a metallc shade but if you powder on top it could look matte and lovely.

The first time I swiped them on, I was impressed by how pigmented they were. They have a very thick-buttery feeling so when I apply them the colour goes on strong and very opaque, which I really like. They’re softer than a normal lip pencil and very easy and clean to apply, without the slipperiness of a lipstick.

Both of them look so nice on my lips- bright without being too showy. My favorite thing about these is that they have a matte finish but don’t get clumpy or gross if you reapply them.

It’s also worth mentioning that they stay on pretty long, the color does transfer but it surprisingly remains pretty constant on my lips. Oh and it doesn’t taste too much of anything besides that waxiness nearly all lipsticks have.

You do have to sharpen it (it’s one of those fairly large-sized pencils so you need a matching-sized sharpener to suit), which can be a bit of a hassle, and when sharpening you lose some product so that’s a negative.
